How do you pick the right SUV for your needs? Are you going for the maximum amount of space or the best fuel economy? Do you need something with a little extra style?

Let’s be honest, all Caddy SUVs are great. Still, they all excel in different areas. If you’re shopping for a new Cadillac near Niceville, FL, check out this quick rundown of our SUV lineup.

Most Luxurious SUV: Cadillac Escalade

The Escalade has been at the pinnacle of the full-size SUV world for a long time now, and it’s easy to see why from the moment you step inside one.

Cadillac Escalade 1

The focal point of the in-cabin experience is the massive 38-inch curved display, which features industry-leading OLED technology that has twice the resolution of a 4K TV. The display also features an available color head-up display and augmented reality-enabled navigation, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Shoppers can select between either a 19-speaker or a 36-speaker AKG Studio sound system, a rear seat entertainment system with dual 12.6-inch screens, and a slew of other next-level tech features.

The Escalade is also the largest and most capable offering by far, with seating for up to 8 and up to 142.8 cubic feet of cargo space in the Escalade ESV. To top it off, it can tow up to 8,200 pounds.

Best SUV for Families: Cadillac XT6

If you want a ton of space for passengers but an Escalade doesn’t quite fit into your budget, the XT6 luxury midsize SUV has three rows as well, with ample seating for 7 and nearly 80 feet of cargo space.

Like other Caddy SUVs, the XT6 also comes with a ton of standard driver assistance features, including:

  • HD Rear Vision Camera
  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Intelligent Brake Assist
  • Front Pedestrian Braking
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Alert
  • Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Assist
  • Front and Rear Park Assist
  • Following Distance Indicator
  • Safety Alert Seat
  • Teen Driver settings

Best SUV for Seniors: Cadillac XT5

For those who are shooting for something with many of the same appointments as the XT6 but don’t quite need that much space, the XT5 is a perfect middle ground, especially if you’re still driving the grandkids around from time to time.

All of the Cadillac hallmarks are here—solid performance, quality seating materials, intuitive infotainment tech, and a truckload of standard safety and ADAS features like Vision Assistance, all for an astoundingly fair price tag.

The XT5 is one of the least pricey Cadillac SUV models as well, second only to the XT4.

Most Affordable SUV: Cadillac XT4

Are you looking to get into a luxury SUV without draining your bank account? The 2024 XT4 has a starting MSRP of under $40,000, and it still packs in an absolute ton of comfort amenities.

All models come with a 33-inch advanced LED display, which is similar to the one found in the Escalade and is compatible with Google built-in and Amazon Alexa Built-in for seamless device connectivity. Other standard tech and comfort features include Cadillac Connected Access, remote start, multiple USB ports, active noise cancellation, and lumbar controls in the front seats.

Despite being the most compact Cadillac SUV, it still has tons of space for cargo, with a maximum of 48.9 cubic feet and available factory roof rails.

Best Electric SUV: Cadillac LYRIQ

Since it first came on the market for model year 2023, the LYRIQ has garnered a reputation as one of the best new EVs on the market.

Cadillac LYRIQ

It’s available in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, and both powertrains get some seriously impressive range (314 and 307 miles, respectively). It can also recoup up to 77 miles of range in just 10 minutes with DC fast charging, which should be more than sufficient to lay any residual range anxiety to rest.

It also boasts some truly thrilling performance. With single motor RWD, the system puts out 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, and when you get a LYRIQ with dual motor AWD, that numbers jump up to a hair-raising 500 horsies and 450 pound-feet.

And, of course, let’s not forget the fact that the LYRIQ is packed to the headliner with tech features, including the 33-inch curved diagonal display with Google built-in, Active Noise Cancellation to offset the quietness of the electric motor, and Super Cruise, which allows hands-free driving on hundreds of thousands of miles of roads across North America.

Best New SUV: Cadillac OPTIQ

The OPTIQ has yet to hit the streets just yet, but it bears an honorable mention as it nears the beginning of its production in the fall of this year.

So far, it appears to be a slightly pared-down version of the LYRIQ, with similar range and features, plus a more affordable price tag that’s sure to appeal to first-time EV buyers and lessees.

Currently, an exact release date is unknown, nor is it confirmed if it will qualify for the federal EV tax credit. But, considering the fact that LYRIQ buyers can potentially benefit from the full $7,500, our hopes are high.
