The wait is nearly over—the all-electric Escalade is set to arrive at our Cadillac dealership near Panama City Beach very soon, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it and check out all its sensational new features in person.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we’ve decided to list some of the specific features that we’re most excited about. If you’re like us and you’ve been eagerly anticipating this best-in-class luxury EV, read on for all the details.
Cadillac Escalade IQ Range and Charging
The first question that usually pops up when a new electric SUV comes on the market is some variations of, “What kind of range does it have?”
The 2025 Escalade IQ comes with a Cadillac-estimated range of 460 miles on a single charge. The exact figures may vary slightly when it finally hits the streets, but manufacturer estimates usually aren’t far off, so the Escalade IQ is poised to be a strong contender for new EV with the best range thanks to the Ultium battery platform, which it shares with other long-range GM vehicles.
It’s also capable of blindingly fast charging. Cadillac estimates that it’ll be able to regain up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes with the proper DC fast charging setup. Thanks to the North American Charging Standard, Cadillac EVs will now have access to nearly 20,000 Tesla Superchargers, which means that finding a place to hook up your electric SUV has never been easier.
Cadillac Escalade IQ Specs
The mighty Ultium battery platform is sure to alleviate range anxiety, but that’s not all it has to offer—it also provides a formidable amount of power, with an electric motor at each axle and standard eAWD.
Under normal conditions, the Escalade IQ puts out about 680 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque. Using Velocity Max mode, it’s able to achieve up to 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque, and this allows the hulking SUV to do a 0 to 60 run in under 5 seconds.
The Escalade IQ’s towing capacity is also estimated to be 8,000 pounds, which is more than enough to haul a sizeable travel trailer or boat.
Cadillac Escalade IQ Performance
Apart from its impressive specifications, the Escalade IQ has a few additional features that boost performance in multiple ways.
A choice of selectable Driver Modes comes standard, including Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice, Tow/Haul, and My Mode. It also features adaptive air suspension that allows for manual adjustment of ride height, which enables Easy-Entry Mode and Low-Ride Mode. The air ride and Magnetic Ride Control also provides passengers with a buffer from harsh road conditions and ensures a smooth ride.
Range is bolstered by Regen on Demand regenerative braking technology, which returns juice to the battery cells while decelerating, and One-Pedal Driving, which allows the vehicle to stop and slow down using only the accelerator pedal, so no energy is wasted.
The Escalade IQ is also capable of four-wheel steering, which greatly reduces the turning circle and allows for massively improved maneuverability in constricted city driving.
